Come and learn what your workplace rights are, how to find solutions when those rights are violated, and understand the laws workers can use to combat workplace issues. It will also build your knowledge of workplace safety, how to report issues to Cal/OSHA, and what laws protect you regarding workplace safety.
This teach-in is an offering of the Resilient Communities Legal Cafe, a legal clinic, community building, and educational space for the new economy. The teach-in will be offered by Young Workers United, a multi-racial and bilingual membership organization, formed in 2002, dedicated to improving the quality of jobs for young and immigrant workers. YWU raises standards in the low-wage service sector in San Francisco through worker and student organizing, grass-roots advocacy, leadership development, and public education. We offer a free certificate for all the participants.
SELC would like to thank YWU for empowering the communities of Oakland in understanding their workplace rights!
