The Sustainable Economies Law Center provides direct legal support to individuals and groups who are working to create new solutions for resilient local economies. The Resilient Communities Legal Cafe is a donation-based legal advice clinic, providing a collaborative space for community building and connecting. 

New Format: When you RSVP below, you will receive an e-mail with our intake form. Once The Law Center receives your intake form responses, we will try to match you with a lawyer from the Cooperative Professionals Guild. Those lawyers will reach out to you to set up an early June appointment that works for everyone.

Any client from any state is welcome to sign up. However, while we will try our best to match you with an attorney from your state, we cannot guarantee this will happen. 

This is a pilot program and we're testing this new format out. We appreciate your patience as we hammer out the details.

Note: We are not a lawyer referral service! You are not expected to hire the Legal Cafe lawyers. In fact, we encourage you to remind the lawyers to give you a list of other lawyers in your state that work on coop issues.

We especially encourage Black, Indigenous, people of color, and low-income communities to RSVP. This Legal Cafe focuses on cooperatives only.
