Intro to Cooperatives CLE

Recorded in March 2025

Speakers: Ricardo Nuñez and Hope Williams

This activity has been approved for 1.5 hours of MCLE credit by the California Bar.

This session discusses the rationale behind cooperatives, surveys the various types of cooperatives, and explores the special legal issues cooperatives create for attorneys. Participants will learn about the different definitions of cooperatives, and how they manifest as legal structures, tax categories, or simply as a set of principles that guide governance style. This session is intended for those who are new to the cooperative space, as well as those who are interested in a refresher on cooperative foundations.
