Moderator: Elizabeth Carter, Esq
Panelists: Ojan Mobedshahi, Jenny Kassan, Jonny Price
Moderated by Elizabeth L. Carter, Esq., of Elizabeth L. Carter, Esq., LLC, crowdfunding securities law firm, The Next Egg is hosting a panel about the past, present, and future of the JOBS Act with Ojan Mobedshahi of the East Bay Permanent Real Estate Cooperative, Jenny Kassan of Jenny Kassan Consulting, and Jonny Price of WeFunder.
We'll explore topics like the JOBS Act's relevancy to the mass egg-sodus of $32 trillion of retirement dollars out of Wall Street, if and how the JOBS Act supports intergenerational wealth-building, its impact on racial, gender, and class equity, and more. We'll begin with Elizabeth Carter explaining some basics about the JOBS Act of 2012 and 2017, the recent 2021 crowdfunding changes by the SEC, as well as racial, gender and economic justice outcomes and limitations. Then we'll have a moderated Q&A with the panelists wherein attendees can pose questions.
As always, this event will be recorded and posted in The Next Egg's video archive and the social media pages and website of Elizabeth L. Carter, Esq., LLC for future viewing.
