WHY I'M RUNNING:
I'm running the Oakland Running Festival because Ricardo is forcing me to. JUST KIDDING! I'm running because I want to support the work the Law Center does to cultivate a legal landscape to make more WORKER COOPERATIVES possible! Nothing gives me that warm, fuzzy, feeling like walking into a business that is owned and operated by everyone working there (except if it's a worker-owned coffee shop, then the warm, fuzzy feeling doubles.)
Listen, we're all trying to figure out how to get more power into the hands of our communities - to the people on the ground instead of corporations. This is a tangible, direct way that you can support the work of activists and lawyers that are helping businesses create a better future for all!
