My New Years Resolution

Ricardo Runs for Workers!Happy New Year!

My New Year's resolution is to continue building a cooperatively owned future of work that meets the needs of immigrant and QTPOC communities. That's why, on March 24th, I’m participating in the Law Center’s first-ever Workers Run Oakland marathon fundraiser and I’m looking for folks to run (or walk) with me to help reach our goal of raising $30,000! Will you join me at the Oakland Running Festival as a #WorkersRunOakland Run-Raiser? Registration closes January 31st!

WILL YOU JOIN ME? SIGN UP HERE!

You won’t only be supporting the Law Center! Every year during our fund drives, we choose an organization that we believe is doing essential work building just and resilient economies and give them a portion of our proceeds. For our #WorkersRunOakland fundraising campaign, we’ve committed to giving 5% of all money raised during our campaign to our solidarity fund recipient, Bay Area Black Worker Center, to support their work eliminating Black poverty by increasing access to quality jobs, improving the quality of jobs in industries that employ Black workers, and reducing employment discrimination against Black workers. Will you support us and Bay Area Black Workers Center by running and fundraising with us?

If you raise at least $300 as a #WorkersRunOakland Run-Raiser, we’ll pay for your Oakland Running Festival registration fees! If you raise at least $500, you’ll also get a limited edition Law Center marathon shirt! Sign up to run a marathon, half marathon, relay, or walk the 5K with me by filling out this form.

Help the Law Center raise $30,000 from this run to continue supporting all of our work at the Law Center (it’s a lot!) and the Bay Area Black Worker Center. It's only through your support that we can continue operating.

Hope to see you there!

In cooperation,

Ricardo Samir Nuñez

Director of Economic Democracy
