What can a homeowner do to secure their own housing while shepherding their home into permanent community stewardship? How can homeowners be part of a movement toward reparations and re-matriation? A growing number of land trusts and real estate cooperatives are emerging to support this transition, and the Law Center has been studying useful legal and financial tools, like life estates, easements, co-ownership models, split title, and estate planning tools. We’re excited to share what we’ve learned, share examples, and hear your ideas, challenges, visions, and more.
This MCLE has been approved for 1.5 MCLE Credit Hours by the State Bar of California.
Note: There are two ticket levels! One for lawyers who need MCLE credits and one for community members. If you cannot afford to pay for a ticket, please email [email protected] to request a scholarship. We want this event to be as accessible as possible.
