If you are, have been, or would like to start being a volunteer at our award winning Resilient Communities Legal Cafe, this workshop is for you! Please join us! Dinner will be provided!
Giving legal advice on-the-spot sometimes feels like flying by the seat of our pants. Sometimes it’s hard to know where to begin, hard to present information in a clear and organized way, and hard to remember to bring up key legal issues. We want to support our Legal Cafe volunteers to continually improve their on-the-spot advising skills!
At our workshop, we’ll share insights, tips, and road maps to advising our most common clients: worker cooperatives, nonprofits, and food enterprises. We’ll also talk through checklists you can use for advising each type of client. We want this workshop to be an emergent process. We’ll harness the wisdom in the room to strategize ways to increase our effectiveness at providing clients the critical information they need to take the next steps in their enterprises.
This activity has been approved for 1 MCLE credit hour by the State Bar of California.
