Now is the time to shape the future of the homemade food sector in California!
We need you to write letters:
Click to download a template letter. Email your letter to email@example.com AND please cc or bcc Christina@theselc.org so we can follow up and make sure it was received by the right offices in Sacramento.
Tips: We recommend that you do not email your legislator through their website contact form. Phone calls are very effective.
We need you to call and email Senate Judiciary Committee Members:
Hannah-Beth Jackson (D) Chair (916) 651-4019
Bob Wieckowski (D) (916) 651-4010
Bill Monning (D) (916) 651-4017
Robert M. Hertzberg (D) (916) 651-4018
Henry Stern (D) (916) 651-4027
John M. W. Moorlach (R) Vice Chair (916) 651-4037
Joel Anderson (R) (916) 651-4038
Here is a script you can use: "Hi, my name is _______ and I'm calling from ______. I am calling to ask Senator to reject AB 626, the homemade food bill in the Senate Judiciary Committee. This bill is tailored to the interests of big technology companies, not home cooks. Yes, we should have a better homemade food law, but the legislature should work on a better bill next year that ensures community control of homemade food. Please vote no on AB 626."
We need you to meet with your representatives:
