Come explore how cartoons can help us turn complex concepts into a clear and compelling message. How can we show what we mean by some of the bigger, blurrier words of this work, like Just Transition or Mutual Aid? How can your local project be cartoonified? In this hands-on workshop we will choose a word and experiment with communicating it visually. In the lead up to the Law Center's 10 year anniversary, this is part of an effort to compile stories and art that make our movement more beautiful, accessible and understandable. For all those who “can’t draw,” we especially need you and your refined stick figure skills.
This Resilient Communities Legal Cafe Teach-In will happen simultaneously with our one-on-one legal consultations. If you're here to get legal advice about your cooperative, small business, nonprofit, or social enterprise, please RSVP here.
