The Sustainable Economies Law Center is partnering with East Bay Community Law Center to host a pop-up Legal Cafe and teach-in* on cooperative solutions to the housing crisis. Join us at Qilombo Community Center for this specially-themed Legal Cafe if you have legal questions about housing cooperatives, community land trusts, co-housing, tenancy in commons, or other forms of cooperative and community-controlled housing.
The Sustainable Economies Law Center provides direct legal support to individuals and groups who are working to create new solutions for resilient local economies. The Resilient Communities Legal Cafe is a first-come, first-serve, donation-based legal advice clinic, providing a collaborative space for community building and connecting.
We are immensely grateful to the Qilombo Community Center for hosting our Legal Cafes at NO CHARGE to the Law Center!
For more information about the Legal Cafe, including the areas of law we specialize in, our upcoming teach-ins, and more, please visit www.theselc.org/cafe.
*There will be a 90 minute teach-in on Cooperative Solutions to the Housing Crisis happening simultaneously with the Legal Cafe. If you'd like to attend both, you can RSVP for the teach-in here, and receive individual legal advice after the teach-in has concluded.
