A Teach-in at the Resilient Communities Legal Cafe
This workshop will explain how employees of a business with publicly traded securities can convert it to a worker cooperative. Unlike other conversions methods this only requires action on the part of the workers, and does not require the consent of the owners. This conversion also works better for high profit companies, opening a new range of opportunities for the conversion of larger businesses in growing industries and strategic sectors.
Mike Leung has a Bachelors in Engineering Physics from U.C. Berkeley, and Doctorate in Physics from Princeton University. He is the founder of Abolish Human Rentals.org. He also founded the Worker Cooperative Development website.
