My name is Tiburcio Garcia, and I am an apprentice at Sustainable Economies Law Center. I started getting interested in law and its uses when my mother and I were evicted unfairly countless times from different apartments, and were left homeless on the streets of San Francisco. I realized that maybe if I knew the law and became a lawyer I could prevent that from happening to anyone else, and also provide my mother and I with a stable source of income. My mother went on to create Homefulness, a homeless peoples solution to homelessness. I live there now, rent free, along with 13 other residents. I am a radio engineer at our radio station 96.1 KEXU, and I graduated from Deecolonize Academy, our liberation school.
