Money is used to facilitate economic transactions. Is there a way to meet our needs without relying on the exchange of US dollars? This program will feature presentations by representatives of local initiatives aimed at creating alternative means of exchange, followed by a panel discussion on the challenges and opportunities presented by complementary currencies. A new set of means of exchange is emerging that operates on trust and social relationship, building social capital in the process.
