Oakland BAC Legal Cafe for Food Enterprises

Oakland Business Assistance Center

The Sustainable Economies Law Center is partnering with Oakland Business Assistance Center to host a pop-up cafe that focuses on food enterprises. This cafe will provide legal support for cottage food businesses, mobile vendors, and any other small food enterprises operating in Oakland.

The Sustainable Economies Law Center provides direct legal support to individuals and groups who are working to create new solutions for resilient local economies.  The Resilient Communities Legal Cafe is a first-come, first-serve, donation-based legal advice clinic, providing a collaborative space for community building and connecting.

Oakland Business Assistance Center (BAC) is a one-stop information and referral center for businesses in Oakland.  The physical center right next to City Hall at 270 Frank H Ogawa offers full time staff to help business owners navigate the City government and provide referrals to local organizations, county, and state agencies, and other resources to start, operate, and grow businesses in Oakland.
