The Sustainable Economies Law Center has been working to pass legislation to make it easier for small businesses, farms, and renewable energy projects to raise money from local investors and to enable California residents to move their money from Wall Street to their local community.
UPDATE: AB 2751 is stalled in the legislature and will not move forward in 2016. We at the Sustainable Economies Law Center are deliberating with allied organizations about whether to work on new legislation on this topic in the 2017 session or wait until a future session. Other groups may attempt to move similar legislation in the next session. Sign up below to be on the email list for updates on this topic.
