The big property owners' lobby, the American Planning Association and the League of California Cities are trying to kill our bill. They do not want to grant all Californians the right to grow food on land they already have lawful access to.

These interest groups have us by far outnumbered with lobbyists in Sacramento but I think we can show that we outnumber them in supporters for urban agriculture and food democracy around the State. 

Will you call the offices of these members of the Assembly Local Government Committee right now and urge them to support AB 2561, the Neighborhood Food Act? The committee meeting starts at 1:30pm.
